PERUPETRO to promote hydrocarbons in Houston, Texas via virtual offices
LIMA – On October 27, PERUPETRO S.A. will launch their first virtual office to connect in real time to investors in Houston (U.S.A.), the world’s petroleum capital, to promote the Cuenca Marañón’s hydrocarbon potential in Selva Norte near the Peru’s border with Ecuador.
Coordinating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the virtual offices will be installed in various Peruvian consulates throughout the world. This will facilitate the delivery of information to potential investors interested in exploration and use of Peru’s hydrocarbon sources.
Over 30 petroleum companies will attend Houston’s House of Commerce to participate in the teleconference with PERUPETRO’s experts in Lima.
Participants will be able to access PERUPETRO’s database and interact with the geologists and geophysicists.
Investors expecting great opportunities which could be announced in the coming months, and they have expressed confidence in the Andean country’s judicial and economic stability.
In early October, PERUPETRO signed five new hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation contracts which were approved in July this year. The contracts included new social conditions which guarantee strict compliance with the Ley de Consulta Previa (preemptive consulting law) which was recently passed by the current government.
Investors will also be able to connect to decentralized PERUPETRO offices in Peru’s five regions via Skype. This is to get information on the native communities and interacting with on site teams.
The next destinations for the implementation of virtual offices will be Alberta (Canada), London (U.K.), Paris (France,), Doha (Qatar) and later China and Singapore.
