Peru’s Andy Polo chooses Real Madrid
LIMA – Andy Polo, one of Peru’s youngest and rising football stars, has chosen Real Madrid over Arsene Wenger’s Premier League side, Arsenal.
This in contrast to previous reports that the young football star was headed to Germany. Several European clubs have been vying to sign Polo to their teams.
Polo, 17, is a great attacking player and considered one of the most exciting players to come out of South America since Sergio Aguero, according to the Daily Mail.
At present Polo is signed to Universitario de Deportes. Last year he helped take the club to victory in the Under 20 Copa Libertadores.
Playing for Peru’s national side, he has scored three goals in 16 appearances. It is still unclear which European side will sign the Peruvian soccer sensation.
