Peru’s national football team will face Chile in two friendlies
LIMA – The Peruvian and Chilean national football teams will face off in two friendly matches in 2012.
Sergio Markarián, the Peruvian head coach, said that he does not want to waste time and is looking for matches against rival teams to fine tune the national side for the World Cup qualifiers in June next year, according to Peru.com.
The aim is to play one friendly a month according to Markarián. A match will be played in February 2012 in Europe though the rival team has not been named yet, and another match is scheduled for April against Costa Rica.
The friendlies against Chile will likely be played in March or May, 2012.
