Peru’s embassy in Chile promotes meeting between Congress members
SANTIAGO – Peru’s ambassador to Chile, Carlos Pareja, said that a meeting between Congress members of both countries will lead to cooperation in development projects of common interest and to strengthen relations between the two Andean nations.
The Embassy of Peru in Chile is promoting the meeting, to be held in the first quarter of 2012, according to Andina.
Pareja remarked on the importance of the meeting as an integration mechanism.
He said that relations between both nations are “on very good terms”, recalling Peruvian President Ollanta Humala’s visit with Chile’s head of state Sebastian Piñera, before taking office earlier this year, as very positive and beneficial to strengthening bilateral ties.
