Small Business in Peru to Benefit from Free Trade Agreements with European Union
The Free Trade Agreement between Peru and the European Union, signed yesterday in Brussels Belgium, will generate great opportunities for Small and Micro Business’s (SME) , said Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade, Carlos Posada.
He indicated that the consumption of the countries within the European Union (EU), in many cases, is focused on producing and exporting products for SMEs, as the case of agricultural exports and fishing.
Posada said that this trade agreement will also allow investment bloc countries, to focus on our country , although some of these, are facing a severe economic crisis.
“The agreement allows us to create tranquility and predictability in terms of investment. The capital of the European Union, in times of crisis, should be placed in other countries to generate more growth, that place today is Peru”he said.
He said sectors such as energy, infrastructure, construction and telecommunications are seen as having the most potential for European companies to invest in Peru.
He stressed that European investment in our country is one of the highest and is focused on sectors such as telecommunications and infrastructure. Both have concentrated investment of over U.S. $ 10,000 million.
