Magnitude 4.3 Earthquake Shakes Central Peru
An earthquake measuring 4.3 magnitude on the Richter scale rocked the Ica region, located south of Lima, according to preliminary reports from the Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP).
The quake occurred at 08:36 am and its epicenter was located 136 kilometers south of the city of Pisco, at a depth of 40.4 kilometers.
The National Civil Defense Institute ( INDECI ), through the Emergency Operations Centre Nacional (COEN) reported there were no personal or material damage in the area as a result of the earthquake.
